For my project Numerical Compositions, I designed a set of single-stroke, two-tone numerals to create typographic posters with the penplotter. Creating a complete alphabet felt like a natural next step, which led to the creation of Alter. The alternations incorporate color variants and geometric constructs such as curves and straight lines, circles and polygons, and vertical and oblique angles. Sometimes, words in Alter may look strange with odd kerning, and different color combinations can change the mood of how they are read. Alter is a typeface that is full of character, perfect for creating unique and expressive typography.
